Finish copy, full colour sleeve, 180g pressing. Clouds are a Finnish electronic music production team that consists of Tommi Liikka and Samuli Tanner. Tommi is a Helsinki native and Samuli comes from a small village deep in rural Finland. The pair met through mutual friends in 1999, and ever since planned on producing music together, hindered by both working on various projects and shows of their own. The plan was finally realised after a string of coincidences and happy accidents led them to sharing a house in the northern suburbs of Helsinki. This is the 3rd release from Clouds on Deep Medi Musik, the follow up to ‘Protecting Hands Pt1&2’.

This limited edition 12” (1000 copies worldwide) pairs noise pop legend Brad Laner (from seminal shoegaze band Medicine) with the eclectic, dark and bluesy Finnish trio Joensuu 1685.
Brad Laner contributes 3 tracks, which are comparable to the type of lucid, eccentric noise pop that made his last two solo LPs so striking and masterful. Brad’s take on Chicago’s “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day” is a must here for anyone with Chicago VI and Loveless in the same record collection.
During a break from touring their first album and supporting Wolf Parade Joensuu 1685 recorded hours of new material in a cabin in Northern Finland. The eerie and nearly 17‐minute‐long noise rock piece “Lost Highway” is the first track to surface from these sessions.

I dont think I know, or heard of, anyone who share the same obsession in searching obscure disco records like Kool DJ Dust (real name Daniel Savio). Call him at any given time and he’s in some flee market or second hand shop on the look-out for records. He even got an apartment just for his collection.
We talked about the idea of re-releasing “un-googable” music, old stuff that is not only very
hard to find, but also so good that re-issueing it is an actual cultural necessity. Dust tossed around with a few ideas and finally these three songs made the cut. We are very happy with them! We hope you are too.

Founded by the Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, Rekords Rekords makes no qualms about what their mission is: “[The label] exists for one purpose,” they say, “to make music – just art in its purest form.” And while music-savvy consumers are already poised to break the bank on Record Store Day, the imprint has just added another release that is sure to squeeze even more money out of their little plastic debit cards.
The release is being handled by UK-based, Domino Records and comes in the form of a 10-inch picture disc.
